PMC Guild Links with Google

At the bottom of each page on the Guild website you will see a small advertisement from companies who have created a relationship with Google. The Guild is trying this system for a couple reasons:

• People visit our site to advance their work with PMC. Connecting with companies who sell related tools and services is a logical way to do this. The Guild has always been a pathway to vendors through its magazine, website, and conferences, and all those will continue. This new system shortens the distance between visitor and vendor-one click takes you there.
• The PMC Guild will receive a small royalty each time someone places an order based on these links. This is a direct benefit for our members. If we can find a way to bring in revenue, this will allow the Guild to accomplish more without needing to raise the cost of membership. Please note that the PMC Guild does not control the placement of these ads, and does not recommend these companies over any other. This is going to take a little getting used to for all of us. If it's a terrible idea, we'll cancel our arrangement with Google.
