Here are some of activities our Chapter plan in a year:

  • At each Chapter meeting there is a demonstration on tips, tricks and techniques for working with metal clay.
  • In the Fall our members usually participate as a group in an outdoor venue called "Art In The Park Fair". This Fair is held in a lovely neighborhood park of St. Louis Hills. This is a great experience in for both veterans and novices.
  • Each year we have at lease one hands-on workshop lead by members. Most of the cost of these workshops are paid for by our Chapter. In July of 2008 our guild sponsored "Basic Enameling on PMC". On another occasion Lou Kappel gave a workshop on his Plique-a-jour Technique with PMC. Mr. Kappel's technique has been featured in several books and magazines. We are fortunate to have some knowledgeable members!
  • One of your members is currently opening her studio one day a week for a "Play Day". This informal get-together has no agenda other than sharing a day with friends while "playing" with clay.
  • Occasionally, we invite a preeminent metal clay artist for a workshop or organize a PMC Certification class in or near St. Louis.
