The Portland Chapter was started by Nik Bsullak, a metalsmith, designer, teacher, cook... and local business owner. Nik graduated from Maine College of Art with a BFA in Metalsmithing. Since then she has worked in college administration, operated a street vendors cart, created and operated a gallery, and manufactured a line of high fashion handbags. Phew!

The current project that keeps Nik and her husband Scott Miller busy is the Wicked Pulp Juice Bar and Cafe in Portland, Maine. This cozy establishment in the city's energetic East End combines healthy food, local music, an art gallery, and Nik's studio. It's safe to say that she is never without something to do. Starting in the early morning hours, there is coffee to be brewed and muffins to be baked, then customers to serve, and all the time, her workbench is calling from across the room. Wicked Pulp is a meeting place for local artists; a friendly cafe where the food is as good as the atmosphere.

Nik has been working with PMC for about two years, including offering some classes. She started the Portland chapter of the Guild to help the community and to help her connect with others who can share their knowledge about PMC.
